Important Notes:

  1. The three ‘M’ options available to Year 3 F102 MChem students in session 2013-14 are CHEM452, CHEM486 and CHEM494 and the two ‘A’ options are CHEM338 and CHEM396.
  2. The ‘A’ options available to Final Year BSc students in session 2013-14 are CHEM248, CHEM284, CHEM316, CHEM338, CHEM378 and CHEM396. The most appropriate of these for Year 3 FZB2 BSc students is CHEM378.
  3. CHEM326 could suit BSc and MChem students who have done some post-GCSE Physics (preferably ‘A’ level) and who were in at least the middle tier of Maths in CHEM280. Students must talk to the Year 3 coordinator before selecting CHEM326.
  4. Subject to timetable requirements and satisfying prerequisites, Final Year F100 and FZ11 BSc students may be allowed to replace ‘A’ options with level-2 or level-3 modules from other Departments or with CHEM390, but explicit permission is required from the Year 3 coordinator.
  5. The material in CHEM385 is also included in CHEM375 and in CHEM395.
  6. Year 3 FZ61 MChem students take CHEM383 and CHEM388 ‘distance learning’ modules.
